T.E.A.M. Mom Inc. is a faith-centered nonprofit community rooted in the mission to Transform, Empower, Assist, and Mentor single young mothers navigating unplanned pregnancies.

We accomplish our mission through partnering with families, schools, organizations, ministries, community stakeholders, and all others within the metro Atlanta area who are committed to building single young mothers. Through a “T.E.A.M.” effort, we address seven "P.R.E.S.S.E.D." needs of single young mothers within minority communities, which involve their 1) Physical, 2) Relational, 3) Educational, 4) Spiritual, 5) Social, 6) Emotional, and 7) Directional needs.
No matter what brings a mother (or her village) to T.E.A.M. Mom, we believe every young mother is worthy of respect, encouragement, and support from a safe community.
Because every teen mom needs a T.E.A.M. to help navigate life’s challenges!

Why It Matters
Research shows teen pregnancy has high costs for teen parents, their children, and society more generally.

In 2023, the birth rate was 13% for females aged 15 to 19

91.7% occur outside of marriage

Over 70% of pregnancies to teen parents are the result of unintended pregnancies

50% of teen mothers receive a high school diploma by 22 years of age.

This is why T.E.A.M. Mom was created!
Contrary to the judgement and shame typically cast by society for young women faced with an unplanned pregnancy, our hope is to lead the charge of both reaffirming and refocusing young mothers towards a path that will lead them to thrive in every area of their life. We do this by offering resources, guidance, and most importantly, hope to help families plan through the unplanned.

Meet the Team

Founder & CEO
As a former teen mom, I know firsthand what it's like to face an unplanned pregnancy with no hope for yourself or your child’s future. Hiding my pregnancy for 39 weeks at eighteen taught me that no mother should have to walk the journey of motherhood alone, regardless of the circumstances surrounding conception. My personal journey through teen pregnancy is just one example of the power behind faith, resilience, and acknowledgment that I needed a team of support along the way. While the journey of motherhood can be challenging for young mothers raising a new life, through a T.E.A.M effort, T.E.A.M. Mom was created to reaffirm and refocus those dealing with an unplanned pregnancy. No matter what brings a mother to T.E.A.M. Mom, we believe every mother is worthy of respect, encouragement, and support from a safe community.
My message to every young mother is to remember that you've got this because God's got you!
